Hey guys,
So we have to post something about our high school experience? Hm, I think anyone else who played sports in high school will say it was an awesome experience. I played basketball in school since seventh grade, where I picked a ball for the first time. I was still playing when high school rolled around, and I was lucky enough to make Junior Varsity my freshman year. Coming from a 5A school, I guess that was pretty cool. So I played 2 years of JV and an awesome year of Varsity. Despite the bleachers, weights, and intense practices that come with 5A Varsity Basketball, I had the most fun that year. It turned out to be completely worth all the sweat, even though I didn't get a whole lot of minutes. I met my best friends through basketball; a few of them I had been playing with since 7th grade. The game also taught me a lot about myself. I learned I am not extremely competitive, even though winning is everything at Flower Mound High School. I learned that even after being cut my senior year, I was able to sit next to the coach as a student assistant with no hard feelings. Playing basketball in high school was the best thing I could have done for myself. It taught me discipline, hard work, and how to accept rejection. It also taught me how to have a blast doing something I love! It was sad when it ended, but now I can't wait for intramurals to start up so I can get back to the game.

Good post. Basketball is really fun to play. I'm no good, but I enjoy the game.
Good luck with intermurals. I'm sure you'll have a great time!

HEY!! I know what you mean about basketball, I love it! But as you already know my problem that I ran into! Anyways, I hope we get to play it for Lantana, that would be so much fun!
Basketball is so fantastic. I played every weekend with some friends at the courts in Marble Falls before college. I'm not the tallest, but I held my own. Tennis is my game, but I love basketball too. It keeps you in shape! Though I do miss getting to play now that I'm at Texas State. Perhaps I should go sign up for the Falls team.
I love basketball. I played throughtout my junior year, but it just made things harder for me. It was just so stressful with everything i had going on. I'm glad it helped someone else.
